5 Upcoming Kdramas this 2018: The Great Seducer, Suits, and more!

New year means new life for every one of us, and it also means new Korean dramas are to be release. As a good news to everyone, we have prepared five hot upcoming Kdramas this 2018. Most probably, this also includes the comeback of your favorite actors and actresses!

Here are five upcoming Korean dramas this 2018.

Radio Romance is set to air this January 29, 2018, on KBS2’s Mondays and Tuesdays 22:00 (KST), starring actor Yoon Doo Joon and actress  Kim So Hyun.

The story will flow this way: Song Geu-Rim (Kim So Hyun) works as a radio program writer. Her mother is blind, and she listens to the radio frequently with her mother. This led her to become a radio program writer, but she is not exactly talented in writing. Now, the radio program that she works on is facing cancellation. Song Geu-Rim succeeds in casting top actor Ji Soo-Ho (Yoon Doo Joon) who can do acting without the script. The drama will be about them working on a script-free live broadcast radio show together.

Netizens have mixed reaction about this drama because of the age gap of the lead stars. Watch the teaser here.

The planning for this drama took the the production team more than two years, and the cost for this drama series is more than 10 billion won. Starring actor Seo Kang Joon and actress Kong Seong Yeon, Are You Human Too? will air either on January or February this 2018 according to Park Hwan Hee on a video greeting for her fans via NAVER TV ‘Zenith News’.

Go Ara was first offered for the lead female role, but declined. Their filming began last June 30, 2017 and finished last November. Some filming took place in the Czech Republic.

The story goes like: Nam Shin (Seo Kang-Joon) is a son from a family who runs a large company. After an unexpected accident, he falls into a coma. His mother Oh Ro-Ra (Kim Sung-Ryoung) is an authority on brain science and artificial intelligence. She creates an android named Nam Shin III which looks like just like her son Nam Shin. The android pretends to be Nam Shin and he has a bodyguard So-Bong (Kong Seung-Yeon).

Great Seducer adaptation is based on an 18th century French Novel “Les Liaisons dangereuses” (Dangerous Liasons) by Choderlos de Laclo.

The plot of the drama itself tells us about the men and women of the upper-class family who’s trying to find their true love in a game. Starring Woo Do Hwan and RED VELVET’s Joy, this drama series premieres on March 12, 2018. This Kdrama was previously entitled “Love Game: The Great Seduction”, and was offered to young actor Yeo Jin Go who then refused. Confirmed lead casts are Joy, Woo Do Hwan, Moon Ga Young, Kim Min Jae.

This drama series contains the joy and sorrows of police officers at a precinct office. They try to uphold values in everyday life and maintain justice.

Starring Jung Yoo Mi and Lee Kwang Soo, Live will be aired on March 2018.

Lee Kwang Soo plays Yeom Sang Soo, an ordinary man who joins the police force after being discharged from the military, while actress Jung Yoo Mi portrats Han Jung Oh, a fellow police officer who fights against male chauvinism.

This drama series is a Korean remake of the U.S drama series “Suits” that aired on cable network USA from 2011. Starring actors Jang Dong Gun and Park Hyung Sik, the drama will show Choi Kyung Seo (Jang Dong Gun) as a legendary lawyer at the top law firm in South Korea. He has charisma and an attractive appearance. He then hires Go Yeon Woo (Park Hyung Sik) as a rookie lawyer for the law firm. Yeon Woo has excellent memory, so who’s not getting excited for Hyung Sik’s comeback?

Suits is aiming to air this first half of 2018.
