2017 has been a year filled with group disbandments. Popular second generation Kpop groups have been disbanding, with members choosing to pursue individual activities instead or choosing to step away from the spotlight altogether.
Within the past year alone, we’ve had to say goodbye to groups such as 2NE1, Sistar, and as of December 27, Miss A.
This isn’t an unexpected announcement seeing as only Fei and Suzy decided to renew their contracts, while the other MISS A members Jia and Min decided to leave JYP.
Jia departed from JYP on May 2016, and has begun solo activities in China. Min officially left in November, but has made no announcement about future activity.
Since their debut in 2010, Miss A has become a famous girl group with popular songs such as “Bad Girl Good Girl” and “Touch”. After seven years of record breaking music, it’s hard to say goodbye to these girls.
We wish all the members of Miss A the best of luck in their future careers, and hope to hear from all of them soon.
Don’t Forget to check out Jia’s collaboration with Jackson (GOT7) in their newest release ‘Mood’!
