‘First Love in Manila’ is not Park Hyung Sik’s 1st Visit in PH

Since Park Hyung Sik is coming soon in the Philippines, let’s look back on his previous visits we cannot forget.

The South Korean singer-turned-actor Park Hyung Sik will meet his Filipino fans in his first solo fan meet in the Philippines on November 11, 2017 at the KIA Theatre, brought by PULP Live World!

He is looking forward to meet his fans soon, however, for unaware fans’ knowledge, this is not his first time in the country.

Park Hyung Sik debuted as a member of a KPop boy group ZE:A in 2010 formed by Star Empire. He started his acting career in 2012 through SBS special drama ‘I Remember You’. He is also known for his character in his recent KDramas, ‘Hwarang’ as King Jinhyeung, and ‘Strong Woman Do Bong Soon’ as Ahn Min Hyuk.

Hyung Sik captured hearts all over the world, especially the Philippines due to his deeply-rooted connection to the fans. Here are some of the memorable visits of Park Hyung Sik in the Philippines:

ZE:A’s Mall Tours

According to the 29th Issue of MYX Magazine published in the Philippines, ZE:A held their mall shows on January 2012 at Trinoma, Glorietta and Market Market.

“Even with the absence of Si Wan during the whole tour, the remaining members of ZE:A didn’t fail to impress not only their Filipino fans, but also those who flew all the way from Thailand and Japan just to see the boys!”

There was a language barrier but they were all united for the music and love. The group had also a lovely time performing at MYX Studios. ZE:A showcased their energetic side to all of their fans and promised to come back again for the fans. Those mall shows are memorable not only to the members but of course also for all of the fans who supported the said event.

Real Men Variety Show in Leyte

Two years after Park’s first visit in the Philippines, on July 2014, he returned as a member of MBC variety show ‘Real Men’ with his fellow celebrities Henry Lau of Super Junior, K.Will, Park Gun Hyung, Chun Jung Myung, Seo Kyung Suk, Sam Hammington and Kim Su Ro as military volunteers.

They helped the victims of news-breaking typhoon Yolanda in Leyte for six days. The Filipinos gave them a warm welcome. ‘Real Men’ featured how the Korean soldiers and volunteers helped the Filipinos build the schools that were destroyed by the typhoon, rescue the families across the river, gave food, as well as health check-ups, and fun Taekwondo classes.

They also paid a visit to the Filipino soldiers veterans who helped South Korea many decades ago. They even tried to climb a very tall coconut tree and visit the families visiting their dead relatives buried in a grave yard along the road.

Park Hyung Sik along with other members can’t help but to cry as they witness the aftermath of the typhoon and how the Filipino people still manage to smile despite of what happened to them.

The very hot temperature relative to that in Seoul, South Korea didn’t stop the idol-actor and other members to give their best to help and entertain the citizens especially the kids who were very happy to see them. They ended their military volunteer work with a small program where the members, some of the students, and Kpop girl group RAINBOW performed. It was also served as a thanksgiving ceremony for the help of South Korea.

Few years had passed and fans from the Philippines are very excited to see the actor for Park Hyung Sik First Love in Manila.
